Disruptive Voices

Half a century after the story that gave voice to love between women in Catalan, this vermut invites a collective conversation on feminism, literature, desire, bodies and identities. An open space for reflection, exchange and imagining possible futures.

This open, plural dialogue doesn’t offer easy answers, but it does suggest a structure: law, memory, poetry and the body. four legs of this vermut table from which to rethink culture as a tool for real transformation.

Because discomfort isn’t a failure — it’s a sign we’re digging in the right place.

Sílvia Cano, philosopher and former MP, will open the session by grounding utopia. She will offer a historical view on the progress of women’s rights through legislation since the 70s, and the challenges posed by today’s reactionary narratives.

Annalisa Marí Pegrum, poet and cultural agitator, will give voice to the contradictions of an artistic world that claims to be free, yet still sidelines women. Her sharp and vibrant words confront patriarchal complacency.

Enrique Urbano Ángel, poet and PhD in gender studies, will explore the fragile masculinities that uphold — and are fractured by — the patriarchal system. His serene yet radical critique dismantles romantic myths from within.

Roser Amills, writer and activist, will revisit Te deix, amor, la mar com a penyora by Carme Riera — a groundbreaking work that dared to speak with body, sea and language under Franco’s regime. With fierce clarity, she traces a lineage of female voices that still disturb.

🎶 The session will close with live music and readings from Te deix, amor, la mar com a penyora — a tribute, a reflection, and an open wound that still sings.
