Fona Fall Fest is Fonart's autumn series: a concise, eclectic and carefully curated itinerant programme that, since 2023, has brought together international, Spanish and Balearic artists in venues across the islands. 

Previous editions have featured Teenage Fanclub, Nils Frahm, Yann Tiersen, Lemoncello, Andrea Motis, Joana Serrat, Sunny War, Zahara, Joan Miquel Oliver and Miquel Serra, among others. 2026 marks its fourth edition.

Why a pomegranate on our poster?

Because autumn in Mallorca opens like this fruit: a firm skin, a ruby heart.

It is pomegranate season.They hang in the orchards and find their way onto the table too: freshly opened, seed by seed, scattered through salads, traditional dishes and seasonal sauces. 

A fruit deeply rooted in the island, hiding hundreds of tiny flashes of colour beneath an apparently simple skin. And no two are quite the same.

Fona Fall Fest works in much the same way.

We open the pomegranate and never find just one kind of music inside. There are many. Each seed holds its own pulse, its own temperature, its own way of seeing & hearing the world.

ROO PANES [Dorset, UK]

Some pomegranates are best opened slowly. Roo Panes’ has an acoustic pulse, restrained sweetness and a delicate sharpness that appears just when you least expect it. Voice, guitar and songs that turn intimacy into landscape.

• • RECIPE: Bare guitar, a warm voice, a few drops of melancholy and plenty of air between the notes.

LUCHA LUNA [Seattle, USA]

This pomegranate is not served cold. It arrives loaded with heavy bass, Latin percussion, dark synths and punk vocals. Sweet and sharp at once, it turns rage into movement, and movement into celebration.

• • RECIPE: Heavy bass, Latin percussion, a generous handful of punk, reggaeton to taste — then turn up the heat until the body starts moving.

LALIANS [Palma, Mallorca]

The LALIANS pomegranate begins organic and ends up threaded with cables. Rock’n’roll riffs, voice, bass and guitar pass through loops, drum machines and effects, changing temperature without ever losing the human pulse.
