Fona·Fall·Fest is a festival from the Balearic Islands, created, promoted and organised by Fonart - since 2023 - during the autumn, months, with the idea of showcasing quality, avant-garde and interesting artists.
It’s a travelling festival, moving away from modelo centralizado en las grandes ciudades. This year it’s the third edition. In previous years we had in the festiva international artists such as Yann Tiersen, Nils Frahm, Lemoncello, Teenage Fanclub…, and important names from the national scene such as Andrea Motis or Joana Serrat.
In 2025 the confirmed artists are: Zahara, Joan Miquel Oliver & Miquel Serra, & Sunny War.
Why a pomegranate on our poster?
Because autum in Mallorca opens like this fruit: a tough skin, a ruby heart. Inside it holds hundreds of shining seeds: each one different, all essential.
This is the pomegranate of Fona Fall Fest: we crack it open and, seed by seed, we unravel music. From local roots to international horizons, from intimacy to electricity, from tradition to surprise: each artist is a jewel, sometimes sweet, sometimes sharp, always alive.
The pomegranate reminds us that autumn is not an ending but an explosion of colour and abundance. This is our musical autumn
SUNNY WAR : Pomegranate with an acoustic pulse
Listening to Sunny War is like cracking open a pomegranate: first the punk shell that snaps, then the sweetness and bite of her fingerpicking. Her songs shine like crimson seeds, rooted in blues, folk and soul. Each chord stains your fingers and tastes like autumn.
JOAN MIQUEL OLIVER & MIQUEL SERRA : The home-grown pomegranate
The pomegranate grows in Mallorcan courtyards just like the songs of Joan Miquel Oliver and Miquel Serra: everyday fruits that hide entire worlds. Together they burst like an open pomegranate: countless seeds, impossible colours, flavours that could only be born here.
ZAHARA : A whispering pomegranate
Some open a pomegranate with a sharp blow, others seed by seed. That is Zahara’s “Acustiquísimo”: intimate songs to be savoured slowly. Each jewel is a confession; each taste, a shared secret.
