Judith Neddeman Band
Some dates in a town are more than just a day in the calendar. 9 August has a
special resonance in Porreres: each year, it marks the emotional and
symbolic beginning of the Sant Roc festivities, one of those moments when a
community recognises itself, comes together and celebrates what keeps it
connected.
On this date, so dear to the people of Porreres, SONSDENIT will arrive at the Santuari
de Monti-sion/b> with Judit Neddermann & Band, one of the most personal, warm and
luminous voices in contemporary song. While in other formats Judit can draw
close to the audience through the almost bare intimacy of voice and guitar, with a
full band her universe expands: gaining body, pulse, texture and a collective energy
that allows the songs to breathe differently.
A singer and songwriter of enormous sensitivity, Judit Neddermann has built a deeply
recognisable way of expressing herself, moving naturally between singer-songwriter
tradition, folk, jazz, Brazilian music, Mediterranean roots and an emotion that always
feels very close. Her music carries something of an embrace, but also of flight;
something of celebration, but also of inner listening.
For this concert, she will be joined by a group of close musical accomplices —with
Darío Barroso (guitar), Adri González (keyboards), Isaac Coll (bass) i Arnau Figueres
(drums)— to unfold a repertoire full of nuance, rhythm and shared beauty. With a
band, the songs open like a wider landscape: the voice remains at the centre, while
around it new layers, colours, impulses and breaths appear.
📍The concert will take place at the Santuari de Monti-sion, one of the most
emblematic and beloved places in Porreres. Set on top of the Puig de Monti-sion, the
sanctuary offers one of those experiences in which the path, the height, the stone
and the landscape are inseparable from the act of arriving.
At SONSDENIT, venues are never just scenery. At Monti-sion, that idea becomes
especially clear: music is heard with the sky closer, the town below, and a feeling of
open stillness, elevated celebration and belonging. For a night like this, the
sanctuary will not simply be the place of the concert: it will be a lookout from which
Porreres can see itself, gather, and listen together to the same song.
