With the publication of the book THE CARNIVALE TATTOO SONGBOOK about to be released, we invite you, dones of the SonsDeNit festival, to a weekend of good music at the Miró Mallorca Foundation. The Carnivale Tattoo Songbook is Songs of one hundred artists whose music is often played in the tattoo studio carnivale finest electric tattooing. One hundred lyrics of one hundred iconic songs handwritten on the artist’s – or immediate family member’s – choice of support, and rendered as he or she chooses. One hundred tattoo artists who, inspired by these texts, will draw, illustrate, whatever it suggests to them. The blessed madness that only music can generate, allied this time with the fascinating world of ink on skin. The project already had a precedent, a little brother: in 2016, iván, ideologist of the initiative, heart and soul of Carnivale, asked for fifteen handwritten letters under the same premises, which were translated into fifteen illustrations. . The result was the exhibition Handwritten and Spitshaded held that same year at the Museo de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo es Baluarte. In the following years he kept a secret desire to expand the initiative. He told Román Piña of Sloper publishing house about it and received his encouragement and firm support. Because of the scale of the task, fonart Publishing has enthusiastically embraced the idea and will implement it with all the extras: The first Songbook concert was on Thursday, 16 June at the Miró Foundation in Mallorca with Gregor Barnett (the Menzingers) and Dream Mesquida (Son & the Holy Ghosts). -Big concert 13th anniversary of carnivale the same Foundation on Friday 23 September with several artists and bands participating in the book. -And more concerts to be announced. El projecte ja va tenir un antecedent, un germà petit: en 2016, iván, ideòleg de la iniciativa, cor i ànima de Carnivale, va demanar sota les mateixes premisses quinze lletres manuscrites que es van traduir en quinze il·lustracions. El resultat va ser l’exposició Handwritten and Spitshaded celebrada aquest mateix any en Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani es baluard. En els següents anys va guardar per a sí el secret anhel d’ampliar la iniciativa. I va ser explicar- la-hi a román Piña, d’editorial sloper, i rebre el seu ànim i suport decidit.
