Concert:
Sunny War
For the first time in Mallorca, Sunny War brings her electrifying mix of folk, blues
and punk spirit. A fiery guitar, a voice both vulnerable and fierce, songs born from
struggle and turned into hope. An intimate, powerful concert at Fona Fall Fest.
–– Sunny War: ghosts, guitars and revolution ––
Some artists don’t just tell stories — they live them, breathe them, dig them out of the rawest places. Sunny War is one of those rare voices. She grew up in hardship, wandered without direction, slept rough, played guitar to survive, to scream, to heal. And you hear all of it in every note she plays.
Her music fuses folk, blues and punk spirit without fear of the raw and the broken: songs born from real ghosts — the ones she swore she saw in her childhood home, the ones her weary mind whispered — and from wounds carved by life itself. But they also come from defiance: against fear, against injustice, against loneliness. She’s endured loss, drugs, abandonment. And out of all that came a guitar that doesn’t just accompany — it bites, caresses, challenges. A voice that sways between vulnerable and ferocious.
Joined by drummer Alan Eckert, Sunny War makes her Mallorca debut at the Fona Fall Fest, bringing that universe to the stage: banjo-inspired guitar work, street-scented folk, heavy blues, lyrics that hit hard and heal deeper. It will be intimate, it will be powerful: a concert that leaves no one untouched.
What does it sound like? Think the soul of Tracy Chapman, the poetic delicacy of Nick Drake, the uncompromising fire of Patti Smith… all converging in one voice, one guitar, one utterly original artist.
