Laetitia Sadier
If the prologue to SONSDENIT 2026 was signed by John Grant, a voice capable of
opening fissures in the soul, chapter 1 arrives in the hands of another unmistakable
voice: serene, velvety, lucid and enveloping. A voice that does not need to impose
itself in order to transform a space. That voice belongs to Laetitia Sadier.
Singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboard player and one of the essential figures in
experimental pop over the past few decades, Laetitia Sadier has built a body of work
that is entirely her own: first with Stereolab, one of the most influential bands in
avant-pop, and later through a solo path that has continued to expand with freedom,
intelligence and a radical fidelity to herself.
amb llibertat, intel·ligència i una fidelitat radical a ella mateixa.
Her music brings together avant-pop, minimalist drive, echoes of French chanson,
krautrock, electronica, jazz and a melodic sensibility as delicate as it is assured. But
what truly makes her unique is not sound alone: it is the way she thinks through the
world inside her songs.
Her latest record, Rooting for Love, once again confirmed both the relevance and the
necessity of her perspective: songs of hypnotic beauty, threaded with political
questions, critical awareness and a deep call to imagine ways of living that are less
wounded, less alienated, more awake.
On stage, Sadier has a rare kind of presence: no excess, no artifice, no need to raise
her voice. And yet she fills the space completely. At SONSDENIT she will appear solo,
but with a rich and immersive instrumentation — electric guitar, trombone, synth,
pedals — creating a performance of delicacy, depth and quiet force.
Laetitia Sadier does not belong to the category of artists who simply perform songs.
She belongs to a much rarer one: artists who create a language of their own. Her
music does not shout, but it stays. It does not seduce through excess, but through
precision, consciousness and mystery. That is why her presence at SONSDENIT 2026 is
more than a joy: it is a statement of intent.
📍The concert will take place at the Santuari Nostra Senyora de Gràcia (Lucmajor),
one of those places where stone, silence and landscape seem to be listening even
before the first note is heard. Born from the ancient retreat of the cave of s’Aresta and
linked for centuries to the mountain of Randa, the sanctuary opens like an intimate
balcony over Mallorca: a place of memory, height and calm, perfectly suited to music
that also asks for attention, stillness and depth.
At SONSDENIT, venues are not just a setting: they enter into dialogue with the
music, transform it and make it unrepeatable. In Gràcia, Laetitia Sadier’s voice will
find a place suspended between earth and sky, between fragility and permanence.
