Emma Pollock + 2mooncat

There are concerts, and then there are nights that seem to ask for something more.

On 14 August, SONSDENIT will turn Castell de Bellver into the setting for one of the most special events of its 2026 edition: a night conceived not simply as a double bill, but as a shared experience — a celebration of live music, discovery, the beauty of place, and everything that can happen when a festival chooses to go a little further than programming alone.

Leading the evening is Emma Pollock, one of the most cherished and distinctive voices in the Scottish music scene. Coming from Glasgow, and with a career shaped by sensitivity, character and a deeply personal approach to songwriting, Emma Pollock will arrive at Castell de Bellver with a live performance of intense, elegant and profoundly emotional beauty.

  • Some artists do not need grand gestures to fill a space: a voice, a guitar and a way of saying things that feels direct, truthful and full of its own light are enough. Emma Pollock belongs to that family of artists capable of making a song grow from intimacy into a powerful presence.

  • At SONSDENIT, we will hear her in trio format, with Emma Pollock on vocals and guitar, Graeme Smillie on piano and Pete Harvey on cello. A particularly delicate and expressive line-up with which to inhabit Bellver through songs that breathe closeness, strength and emotion. c

Opening the night will be 2MOONCAT, the project of the very young Mallorcan artist Neus Aguiló, an emerging voice beginning to attract more than deserved attention, and one that powerfully represents the new creative sensibility SONSDENIT loves to bring into view.

  • A finalist in the 2026 UIB Pop-Rock Competition, a songwriter since her teenage years, and currently immersed in the recording of her debut album, The Phase, Neus has begun to share with the world a body of music born from a deeply intimate place: honest, delicate, brave and profoundly personal. Her story, her talent, and the way artistic creation has also become a path of expression, affirmation and growth make 2MOONCAT an especially meaningful guest for this evening.

  • On stage, she will be joined by her trio, with Pep Aguiló (keyboards) and Darío Molina (guitar), opening Bellver with freshness, emotion and the promise of a young island talent worth discovering at exactly the right moment.

The evening will also feature a master of ceremonies, Roser Amills, a writer and creative figure of recognised sensitivity, who will help open, accompany and gently weave the night together with warmth and meaning. Through a brief and carefully shaped intervention, she will also introduce a small gesture linked to Alcover Year 2026, allowing the words of Joan Alcover into Bellver, between music and stone, as another layer of memory, poetry and shared emotion.

This will not be just any night. SONSDENIT wants to give this event an especially careful and meaningful dimension, reaffirming its vocation as a festival that reaches beyond musical programming alone. For that reason, the evening will place special emphasis:

  • on the Social Seat initiative,
  • on La Cultura Alimenta —with food donations from the audience going, on this occasion, to SOS Mamás, an organisation carrying out essential work in food support and accompaniment for vulnerable families in Palma—
  • and on this year’s solidarity alliance with 3 Salut Mental, to which SONSDENIT is allocating €1 from every ticket sold in 2026.

The result will be far more than a double concert: a night designed to welcome a remarkable international artist to Castell de Bellver, to be surprised by a new Mallorcan voice, and to inhabit Bellver in a different way.

A night to listen, to look, to feel and to celebrate. A SONSDENIT night at Bellver.

📍The concert will take place at Castell de Bellver, one of Palma’s most emblematic and extraordinary spaces. Its circular architecture, stone, history and striking presence turn any cultural event into something more than a performance: an experience shaped by the memory of the place.

At SONSDENIT, venues are never just scenery. And at Bellver, that idea becomes especially powerful. Its walls, its courtyard, its height above the city and the atmosphere of an August night will envelop this evening in a singular way.

Listening to music here is something else entirely. It means entering the songs from a place steeped in history, beauty and emotion. For a night with Emma Pollock and 2mooncat, Bellver will not merely be the backdrop: it will also be one of the protagonists. A place where Emma Pollock’s emotional elegance, strength and sensitivity will enter into dialogue with the intimate freshness of a new Mallorcan voice, among stone, sky and memory.
