Joan Miquel Oliver, Pau Debon, Jaume Manresa, Joan Roca i Pere Debon confirmen que la reactivació d’Antònia Font és una realitat: els seus components just acaben d’anunciar que al 2022 es publicarà un nou disc de la banda. Aquest nou àlbum sera el primer des que en 2013 el grup va anunciar la seva separació, al temps que valida la defensa que la banda mallorquina ha fet sempre de renovar repertori i oferir, a cada nova etapa, material nou, actualitzat i diferent. Un retorn d’Antònia Font sense nou disc no hauria estat coherent amb la trajectòria de la banda.

Joan Miquel Oliver, Pau Debon, Jaume Manresa, Joan Roca and Pere Debon confirm that the revival of Antònia Font is a reality: the members have just announced that a new album by the band will be released in 2022. This new album will be the first since the group announced its split in 2013, while validating the Mallorcan band’s longstanding commitment to renewing its repertoire and offering new, updated and different material at each new stage. A return of Antònia Font without a new album would not have been coherent with the band’s trajectory. The new songs can be enjoyed live in three concerts that promise to be big events: in addition to the live performance on 11 June 2022 at the Primavera Sound in Barcelona, the group has announced a performance in Mallorca on 18 June 2022 at the Polideportivo Municipal Mateu Cañellas in Inca and another in Barcelona on 15 October 2022 at the Palau Sant Jordi. With these concerts, Antònia Font hope to satisfy the great demand that has been generated in recent years among their long-time audience and new fans who have never seen them perform live. The Mallorcan octopus group has become the collective memory of an entire generation and a point of reference for many current artists; for the youngest, the band can reach the category of myth. However, the members of the band are made of meat. They return as only Antònia Font can return: offering that characteristic non-transferable pop that transcends the variables of style, fashion or trend.
